The traditional economy timber outdoor bench is a popular choice that is ideal for use in both public and private areas. Built using sustainable hardwood, these outdoor wooden benches comfortably seat two people. The Timber Bench is another outside seating option made of pressure-treated redwood. It is lightweight, making it ideal for areas that may require regular moving around of the bench. 

For areas of high traffic, we do offer a wooden bench make with Iroko wood. It features a cast-iron support frame that is freestanding. A simpler version of this would be the black powder-coated steel seating. It can be made up entirely of mild steel or a combination of mild steel frame and hard- or softwood slats. This variation, however, requires bolting down. 

The AUTOPA recycled plastic seating options are an eco-friendly alternative with varied design options. Besides the standard outside seating benches with back support, this range also includes a combination picnic table and bench options. The planks for this furniture are made with 100% recycled plastic and the frame of galvanised mild steel tube.

For a more contemporary feel, we recommend the Mercure seat. These outdoor benches have a strong steel fabrication that is galvanised and painted for weather protection. The back support features an ergonomic design with rounded ends for safety. The Lugano seat is another of the top-selling outdoor metal benches. It comes with a choice of top cap and a wide variety of colours. Both these modern designs come with concrete-in as a standard. 

If looking for a unique design choice, the Kensington is worth consideration. This simple bench features extra chunky hardwood slats supported by a mild steel frame. The most durable choice of outside seating offered here at Barriers Direct is the granite bench. It has the longest lifespan and is maintenance-free and scratch- and weather-resistant. It is a good choice for heavy use areas.
